Are you ready to make your mark at Chapel Hill? The Light on the Hill Society Scholarship is looking for exceptional high school seniors who embody the spirit of Carolina through academic excellence, dedicated community service, and standout leadership (the next generation of leaders).
Awards for the 2026-27 Academic Year
Unless otherwise noted, awards are renewable for three years, supporting you throughout your undergraduate career.
- The Julius Peppers Scholarships: Two (2) awards of $5,000
- The Joseph Cooley and Kathleen Cullins High Undergraduate Scholarship: One (1) award of $4,000
- LOTH Scholarships: Four (4) awards of $3,000
- Theta Omicron Foundation Achievement Awards: Two (2) awards of $1,000 (two-year award)
Dates to Remember
- Application Deadline: March 27, 2026
- Eligibility: You must be a high school senior who has applied and plans to attend UNC in the Fall.
- One + Done: You only need to apply once. Your single application automatically puts you in the running for all undergraduate awards listed above.
