The mission of the Janissa Believe & Achieve Scholarship is to support an individual with Down syndrome who believes in themselves to achieve their dream – whatever that dream may be. Make your wish come true!

History
Driven by her experience raising her daughter Janissa, Elvia Salinas realized all too well how few opportunities there were to support adults with Down syndrome to help accomplish their hopes and dreams. Whether someone wants to visit a foreign country, go skydiving, or take an acting class in Hollywood, the Janissa Believe & Achieve Scholarship was designed to provide an individual with Down syndrome an opportunity to accomplish their dreams.

2024 Scholarship
Janissa and Elvia are thrilled to support one individual with Down syndrome with $800 to be selected as the 2024 Janissa Believe & Achieve recipient. “The bigger the dream, the better!” We strongly urge individuals who have never received a scholarship before to apply.

One individual with Down syndrome will receive $800 for the 2024 Janissa Believe & Achieve Scholarship.
