The next BIG IDEA meets American Idol. Entrepreneurs from the community, students, and faculty may participate in the program. The next BIG IDEA can come from anywhere, create a 60-second video and load it onto the Idea Competition website to be queued for a vote. Entrepreneurs will want all their friends to vote for their ideas, to win a cash prize of $2000 for the best idea.

Voting takes place October 24th- November 16th, 2021!

How to Give the Perfect Elevator Pitch-Bplan

Definitions:

Community: identified as students, faculty, staff of TTUS, friends, family, and those with a valid email address.

Entrant: identified as students, faculty, staff of TTUS, aspiring entrepreneurs in the community.

Eligibility: Entries must complete a profile, video must be 60-seconds or less, and submitted prior to the competition deadline. Deadline for submissions is 11:59pm on November 10th, 2019. Entries are viewed for “appropriateness” in accordance with TTU policies.  TTU Hub staff reserve the right to determine who is an eligible entrant and if an elevator pitch video is appropriate for public viewing. First round screening will determine the eligibility for public voting.  Eligible participants are notified via email.  

Scoring: Elevator pitches are scored by the “community” and each elevator pitch video is open to one vote per email & IP address.  There will be a "like" button below the video for viewers to vote and submit their email address to verify duplications.

If the entrant is selected as the Red Raider IDEA Competition winner, the winner agrees that TTU may publicize the name, likeness and the description of winning participant. Apart from the prizes associated with being selected as a winner, TTU shall not be obligated to compensate participants in any way for such publicity.

Hold Harmless: Each entrant shall indemnify, defend and hold TTU (and its Regents, officers, the hub mentors, employees and agents) harmless from any third party claims arising from or related to that entrant's participation in the competition, including but not limited to claims relating to intellectual property infringement. In no event shall TTU (or its Regents, officers, the Hub mentors, employees or agents) be liable to an entrant for acts or omissions arising out of or related to the hub or that entrant's participation in the Contest.
