She served as Head of Department of epidemiology and public health surveillance at the Directorate-General of Health in Portugal, coordinating digital transformation of the country core public health surveillance systems for mortality and infectious diseases that later became cornerstones of national pandemic surveillance. Currently, she is responsible for coordinating SPMS's global digital health and MyHealth@eu services and is working to develop health information globally.
