We serve women who face significant barriers to economic stability, including survivors of domestic violence, single mothers, women re-entering the workforce, and those experiencing chronic underemployment. Our mission is not simply to help women find jobs, but to help them build careers that lead to lasting economic self-sufficiency.
Our impact begins with a whole-person approach. Each participant works with our team to develop an individualized plan that addresses both career goals and the real-life obstacles that stand in the way, such as childcare, transportation, housing instability, and financial literacy. We pair career coaching and skills training with wraparound supports, trauma-informed programming, and connections to educational and credentialing pathways that lead to higher-wage employment.
The results are transformative and measurable. Women who complete our programs increase their earning power, reduce reliance on public assistance, and build the confidence and financial skills to sustain their progress. Because most of the women we serve are mothers, this impact multiplies: when a mother achieves economic stability, her children experience greater housing security, educational consistency, and a powerful model of what is possible.
Beyond individual outcomes, Live & Learn strengthens the broader community. We supply local employers with prepared, motivated talent; we reduce demand on emergency and safety-net systems; and we contribute to a more equitable regional economy. We accomplish this through deep partnerships with employers, funders, educational institutions, and fellow service providers across the Valley.
