You chose to provide a short written description (up to 300 words) explaining how your organization makes an impact in the community.Soroptimist International of the East Valley (SIEV) is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls through education, empowerment, and opportunity. We believe that when women and girls have access to the resources they need to succeed, they strengthen their families, workplaces, and communities.
Our impact is seen through programs such as **Dream It, Be It**, which helps high school girls build confidence, set career goals, and develop the skills needed for future success. We also provide educational scholarships that help women continue their education or career training, creating pathways to economic empowerment and self-sufficiency.
Beyond education, SIEV partners with local schools and community organizations to address immediate needs through service projects, including hygiene product drives and other outreach efforts that support women, girls, and families facing challenges.
One of SIEV's greatest strengths is our ability to do more with less. We maintain very low operating costs, allowing the majority of the funds we raise to be invested directly into our mission. This year alone, SIEV returned **more than $4,500** to the community through scholarships, programs, and direct support for women and girls. Our members also contribute countless volunteer hours, multiplying the impact of every dollar donated.
For more than 55 years, SIEV has remained committed to empowering women and girls to achieve their dreams, improve their lives, and inspire positive change throughout the East Valley.
