Created on the belief that women are powerful agents of change, Community Comadres brings people together through volunteerism, cultural celebration, and direct community support, creating opportunities for individuals to make a meaningful impact while building lasting connections.
In just a few years, Community Comadres has grown into a trusted community organization, raising more than $180,000 to support families across Arizona. The organization serves more than 500 children and families annually, has mobilized over 1,200 volunteer hours, and proudly maintains a volunteer return rate of more than 75%, reflecting the strong sense of purpose and community it fosters.
Community Comadres is known for its signature initiatives, including the Back-to-School Haircut Drive, which provides free haircuts, school supplies, shoes, and family resources; the Community Quinceañera Gala, which celebrates deserving young women while awarding scholarships to support their educational futures; and its annual Trunk or Treat event, creating safe, family-centered experiences for local children. To date, the organization has hosted two Community Quinceañera Galas, honored four young women, and awarded more than $20,000 in scholarships.
Beyond its programs, Community Comadres is committed to strengthening Arizona communities by creating opportunities for service, leadership, and belonging. The organization partners with local businesses, volunteers, and community leaders who share a vision of investing in people and creating lasting change.
Support from local organizations allows Community Comadres to expand its reach, remove barriers for families, and continue providing life-changing resources and experiences at no cost to those it serves. Together, we are building stronger communities, preserving culture, empowering the next generation, and proving that when people come together to serve, entire communities thrive.
