You chose to provide a short written description (up to 300 words) explaining how your organization makes an impact in the community. The Men's Arts Council (MAC) is committed to making the arts accessible while creating meaningful opportunities for students and the broader community. Through Artists on the Field, a signature program of the Bell Lexus North Scottsdale Copperstate 1000, MAC partnered with four Phoenix Union high schools; Maryvale High School, Camelback High School, North High School, and Carl Hayden Community High School to engage 20 talented art students. Students were selected amongst the best of their peers to be able to participate in this prestigious event. Students are commissioned to paint or draw one of the vintage Copperstate 1000 entries in the rally. Students are given four complimentary passes to the Phoenix Art Museum, helping introduce students and their families to the museum's collections and programs. The students' and their artwork is displayed during the event, providing real-world experience and recognition for their creative achievements. MAC's impact extends beyond Artists in the Field. Through its MAC Community Art program, professional local artists mentor students from local high schools as they collaborate on a community art project that is exhibited publicly at the Phoenix Art Museum. This program fosters creativity, confidence, and lasting connections between young artists and the professional arts community. In addition, the Men's Arts Council proudly partners with the 10-90 Foundation, supporting Arizona's first responders by helping provide emergency financial assistance to the families of officers who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty, as well as tuition assistance for eligible family members. Together, these initiatives reflect the Men's Arts Council's commitment to arts education, community partnerships, and expanding access to the Phoenix Art Museum, particularly for students and families in underserved and low-income communities throughout the Valley.
