You chose to provide a short written description (up to 300 words) explaining how your organization makes an impact in the community.Compass CBS Foundation is an Arizona-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities by helping entrepreneurs, small business owners, and workforce participants gain the knowledge, resources, and support needed to build long-term economic stability. Through bilingual programs offered in English and Spanish, we reduce barriers to opportunity by providing business education, workforce development, guidance to funding opportunities and business resources, and connections to trusted community resources. Our programs serve entrepreneurs at every stage, from aspiring business owners launching their first venture to experienced entrepreneurs seeking to grow and strengthen their businesses. Our community impact is demonstrated through initiatives such as the Business Roadmap Program, which trained nearly 3,000 participants in its first year; the Certified Small Business Consultant (CSBS) Program, which has achieved 95% completion rate; the Going Green and Going Smart initiative, which helps Arizona small businesses reduce operating costs through sustainability practices; and The Doc's Program, a free nine-month business education program designed specifically for senior entrepreneurs. We also support women entrepreneurs, provide bilingual networking opportunities, and foster community collaboration through strategic partnerships across Arizona. A Local Causes Grant from the Arizona Financial Foundation would enable us to expand these programs, increase bilingual outreach, develop additional educational resources, and serve even more entrepreneurs, seniors, and underserved communities throughout Arizona. By investing in education, economic opportunity, and community partnerships, we help build stronger businesses, stronger families, and stronger Arizona communities.
