A cancer diagnosis often brings far more than medical decisions. It can disrupt relationships, routines, finances, work, caregiving responsibilities, and a family’s sense of normal. Fear, uncertainty, isolation, and grief often extend well beyond the person diagnosed, touching everyone who loves and cares for them. Cancer Support Community Arizona (CSCAZ) is the place that protects the human side of cancer. We are Arizona’s cancer support community for the person behind the diagnosis, the family affected by it, and the life cancer threatens to unravel. While medical teams focus on treating the disease, we complement that care by providing support at no cost in English and Spanish, including emotional support, education, healthy lifestyle programs, resource navigation, and community for people with all types of cancer, along with their loved ones and caregivers. Each year, more than 2,500 Arizonans turn to CSCAZ for the support, connection, and community they need to navigate life with cancer. Through hundreds of programs each month, including therapist-led support groups, educational workshops, wellness classes, social connection, navigation services, Rise & Recharge gatherings, and youth and family programming, we help people and families live through cancer together. Cancer may change a life overnight, but the power of community can keep fear from becoming isolation, help families find their footing, and remind every person facing cancer that they are still surrounded by strength, dignity, and hope. At CSCAZ, no one faces cancer alone.
