As one of the few rural food assistance programs in La Paz County, we serve households facing high poverty rates, limited transportation, and long distances to basic services. Our work ensures that families, seniors, veterans, and medically fragile individuals have consistent access to healthy food and critical household supplies.
Over the past year, we experienced a 16% increase in households seeking assistance. In response, we expanded food distribution, strengthened home‑delivery routes for residents who cannot travel, and increased partnerships with local businesses and regional donors. Carol’s Closet—our free clothing, bedding, hygiene, and emergency‑needs program—provides immediate relief for individuals experiencing crisis, displacement, or extreme weather conditions.
