You chose to provide a short written description (up to 300 words) explaining how your organization makes an impact in the community.Cornerstone Basketball makes a positive impact in the community by using basketball as a tool to develop confident athletes, strong leaders, and responsible young people. Our faith-based nonprofit serves boys and girls in grades 3–8 throughout the West Valley, providing a safe, supportive environment where students can grow both on and off the court.
Through basketball training, practices, camps, mentorship, and character-development activities, participants learn important life skills such as teamwork, accountability, discipline, respect, perseverance, and leadership. Our programs are designed to welcome athletes of all skill levels, including children who may not otherwise have access to structured sports or positive mentoring opportunities.
We are committed to keeping our programs accessible by offering free membership opportunities and financial assistance for families who need support with camps, leagues, uniforms, or other program costs. In addition to athletic development, participants have access to leadership and financial education resources that prepare them to make healthy, responsible decisions.
Cornerstone Basketball also strengthens the community by bringing together families, coaches, volunteers, schools, churches, businesses, and local organizations around a shared goal: helping young people reach their full potential. By investing in children today, we are helping build healthier families, stronger neighborhoods, and the next generation of community leaders.
