You chose to provide a short written description (up to 300 words) explaining how your organization makes an impact in the community.Every day, individuals across our community arrive at Silver Lining Riding carrying challenges that aren't always visible. Some are children with physical or developmental disabilities learning to navigate the world with greater confidence. Others are veterans, first responders, caregivers, or families searching for healing, connection, and hope after seasons of trauma, stress, or isolation.
Our mission is to improve lives through the healing power of horses.
Horses offer something unique, they respond without judgment, reflect emotions honestly, and create opportunities for growth that traditional settings often cannot. Through adaptive riding and equine-assisted learning, participants build confidence, strengthen communication skills, improve emotional regulation, and experience the joy of accomplishing things they once believed were impossible.
Last year, Silver Lining Riding provided more than 1,600 therapeutic lessons, serving 84 participants with the support of over 100 dedicated volunteers. Today, our waiting list continues to grow as more Arizona families seek access to these life-changing programs.
Community partnerships also allow us to extend our impact beyond the arena by serving veterans, first responders, schools, caregivers, and local organizations through specialized equine-assisted experiences that foster resilience, connection, and wellness.
Support from Arizona Financial's Local Causes program would help remove financial barriers for families, care for the horses that make this work possible, and ensure more individuals can experience the confidence, healing, and hope found at Silver Lining Riding.
