As the region's largest cat-exclusive rescue and shelter, we provide a safety net for abandoned, abused, neglected, injured, and surrendered cats while helping families keep beloved pets in their homes whenever possible.
Each year, we provide lifesaving care for over 1,000 cats and kittens. Every cat receives comprehensive medical care, including vaccinations, testing, parasite treatment, spay or neuter surgery, microchipping, and any necessary medical treatment before being placed for adoption. Many arrive with severe injuries or illnesses requiring specialized veterinary care, giving cats who might otherwise have little chance of survival the opportunity to recover and thrive.
Our impact extends well beyond shelter walls. Through our foster programs, vulnerable kittens, pregnant mothers, senior cats, and those recovering from illness or surgery receive individualized care in loving homes until they are ready for adoption. Our dedicated volunteers contribute thousands of hours annually, providing socialization, enrichment, transportation, fundraising, and operational support that strengthens every aspect of our mission.
Sun Cities 4 Paws Rescue also plays an important role in reducing pet overpopulation by ensuring every adopted cat is sterilized before leaving our care. This commitment helps prevent countless unwanted litters and reduces the burden on municipal shelters and animal welfare organizations throughout the region..
