Why you feel this person deserves this award.Laura is entering her third consecutive year as the President of the Children's Aid Club. CAC is an organization based in Broward County that focuses on positively impact the health, general welfare, and education of underprivileged children in our community. In 2025 we were about to benefit more than 60,000 children in our community. This includes providing rent assistance to avoid eviction, assisting with utility bills, and helping with car repairs or gas cards so caregivers can get to work to provide for their family. We help bridge the gap where needed and provide clothing, school supplies, uniforms, hygiene supplies, food gift cards, and other various requests to help families in need.
Under Laura's Leadership the organization has grown many of its programs, increased its reach, and provided more to the organizations we partner with than every before. We are a small organization of 32 members and pride ourselves that 100% of our profits go back into the community. With a spirit of giving and a heart to help Laura keeps leading the organization to help others more and more each year. Last year we raised more than $130,000 at our annual luncheon alone and 100% of the funds go back into the community. It is a true honor and privilege to serve as the President of CAC. My time, experience, dedication, heart and my other CAC Members allow me to give back to our youth and families to truly make an impact in their lives today for their future success.
This year, we celebrate 72 years of service to the community and I can't wait!
