Submission AbstractLocavore is a platform where restaurateurs can easily access and purchase from the growing network of suppliers and their fresh local products. At the same time, suppliers can increase visibility by selling food to all the subscribers of the platform regardless of their scale.
Value Proposition Restaurateurs regularly face ingredient shortages and suppliers often can fail to sell all of their produce. By connecting the two parties, Locavore reduces food waste and promotes energy sustainability by eliminating CO2 emission from unnecessary traveling of food in the traditional supply chain.
How we plan to make moneySuppliers sign up for the platform via a subscription model. Once delivery is implemented, restaurants will pay delivery and service fees.
Launch StrategyNot yet. The first X number of trustful suppliers will be handpicked to join the platform for free for the first few months of operation. Our early-stage target customers are suppliers and restaurateurs who attend farmers markets and farm-to-table restaurateurs.
