Submission NameClarion Health & Wellness Center
Project Intent StatementThe design for Independence Health System’s Clarion Health & Wellness Center evolved to meet the goals of the System. A variety of patient services were contemplated and test fit, resulting in the conversion of an existing institutional building into a 25,000 SF Medical Office Building that serves as a comprehensive outpatient destination supporting Clarion Hospital. The 3-story outpatient center provides multi-specialty practices, lab/imaging diagnostics and physical therapy services in a community health and wellness center. The project included a hospital-based diagnostic suite with lab services, X-ray, Mammo, DXA, echo, and ultrasound rooms, and an outpatient physical therapy gym. Also included were a family medicine practice serving their residency program, a women’s health suite, and a cardiology practice to provide convenient access to comprehensive care. The exam/treatment rooms were designed to adapt to the various specialties that share the building to maintain flexibility.
