Project Intent StatementThe transformative Engineering + Information Technology Building, now known as Duke Hall, is a cornerstone of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford 's master plan for campus expansion, This 39,000-square-foot, $24.5 million facility, located at the northern edge of the new East quad, features a dual-sided exterior with a community-facing brick-clad front and a progressive campus-facing side with metal paneling and expansive glazing, Duke Hall blurs the lines between interior and exterior spaces. The building includes state-of-the-art facilities such as a makerspace, machine shop, virtual reality lab, and various specialized labs and classrooms designed for hands-on learning in engineering and information technology. With its innovative design and advanced resources, Duke Hall not only enhances the campus’s educational capabilities but also prepares students to meet the demands of modern industry, fostering a collaborative and dynamic learning environment.
