Submission #6624456
Project Information
Submission NameYale 100 College Street Renovations
Project Intent StatementWith a vision to delve deeper into understanding the complexities of the brain, this project created new collaborative wet and dry research environments for Yale’s Neuroscience Initiative and the Wu Tsai Institute with extensive renovations to an existing developer building at 100 College Street. The building is located within a district of the campus heavily focused on the health sciences, with the Wu Tsai Institute’s mission “…to understand human cognition and explore human potential by sparking interdisciplinary inquiry.” This level of interdisciplinary inquiry – one that aspires to connect teams working in neuroscience, psychology, and data science in an all-new, powerful way – requires a dramatic reimagining of how the departments within this building are physically organized. The new facility’s collaborative environments are designed to foster discovery, creativity, productivity, resource sharing, and teamwork.
