Project Intent StatementFor ColdSpark’s new office at 3 PPG Place, our design intent was to create a sophisticated yet welcoming environment that reflects the client’s brand and supports their evolving needs. We balanced the sharp, angular glass exterior of the iconic PPG building with curvilinear interior elements, adding warmth and comfort. A material palette of wood, brass, and darker tones adds depth, while expansive glazing enhances natural light.
The work café flows onto a private balcony with stunning views of downtown Pittsburgh—the first outdoor space approved for the PPG complex—serving as both a retreat and versatile event space. We prioritized sustainability with eco-friendly materials, and the flexible layout ensures future growth as ColdSpark evolves.
