Submission DescriptionThe Scroll Toll is an app that disincentivizes screen-time usage while enforcing accountability. Built for everyone with a phone, our app charges users a predetermined rate of money to a selected charity only when one exceeds their screen-time limit.
We want to start a movement that addresses and solves the unsolvable problem of excessive screen-time usage. By taking a pledge to untether oneself from their devices, our users spend their time in more meaningful ways. Implementing donations to charity uniquely enforces this accountability.
We charge a $1 transaction processing fee on top of 4% of the aggregated donation amount, every month. We may explore charging a sponsorship fee to charities where charities can pay to be listed as a recommended charity for donation. Under this framework, our TAM is approximately $12.2B.
