Why you feel this person deserves this award.Eliana Blech is deserved of the "Humanitarian of the Year" Award from RWorld because of her unsurpassed and unyielding commitment to giving back to her local, national and international community. She Founding Member of "Israel Heart2Heart" 501(c)(3) approximately 6 years ago as a student at Florida Atlantic University and has be continuously instrumental in the organization's growth across the US, Canada and of course Israel. Israel Heart2Heart is a mentorship organization that actively pairs volunteer mentors with mentees, active duty and retired Israeli soldiers that currently serve or have served in combat in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Eliana trains mentors to help mentees cope with the anxiety and stress of military service and she is a real world lifesaver. Eliana personally mentors nearly a dozen soldiers on a weekly basis and she has skillfully and meticulously coerced dozens of suicidal and depressed soldiers into living a full life and rehabilitation. On a daily basis between the hours of 2am and 7am she typically engages with 3-5 soldiers to show them care, compassion and concern in an effort to effectuate a more positive mindset and wholesome approach to mental health. Eliana travels the globe educating mentors so that her reach can be multiplied while she simultaneously fundraises for the organization by constantly attracting new donors. Through her networking, Eliana has raised millions of dollars in monetary and supply contributions for her soldier mentees. Notably, following the tragic events in Israel of October 7, 2023, she personally secured more than 250 ballistic vests and helmets for an entire IDF platoon that had their supplies depleted. With a container full of military equipment, she negotiated a shipping company to deliver the much needed equipment from the US to the war zone in the Middle East. Additionally, Eliana volunteers 100s of hours per year through Signature Gives Back, Inc. 501(c)(3) for local charities.
