Submission AbstractI decided to obtain my real estate license because I had both a passion for business and experience in sales that I very much enjoyed. When I was around 20, I contacted the vice president of a large residential home builder with whom I was acquainted. He treated me to lunch, gave me advice on how to get into real estate investing and suggested I consider the trades to learn the hard skills of the business, or get my license to learn the business side of real estate.
Given my entrepreneurial aspirations and my passion for sales, those worlds just seemed to collide perfectly in the real estate industry. That's when I decided to take the plunge and get my real estate license. I have always seen myself as a blue collar, roll-up-the-sleeves kind of agent. There is no price point too small or too big. No matter the price point, the service always stays the same. That said, I do an outsized percentage of first-time home buyer business.
