Eligibility
- Applicants must be working towards a solution with a stated social or environmental impact.
- Applications may be submitted for new ventures that are in the early stage or already launched and operating but have less than $250,000 in funding or revenue. New ventures should be able to demonstrate the vision for societal impact. Existing early-stage ventures should be able to show impact and traction.
- Existing Non-Profits are eligible to apply if creating a new innovative way to solving a social issue.
- Applications are welcome from Texas Tech Students, and faculty, as well as community members.
- Ventures may be non-profit, for-profit, or not yet incorporated.
- We welcome and encourage applications from diverse and traditionally underrepresented founders.
Application Requirements, At-A-Glance
- A complete business plan with executive summary
- A pitch presentation deck
- The resume of the primary applicant
- 1 letter of recommendation
- A demostration of your product or service
Submissions go through a 4-round evaluation process: application review and scoring, Virtual Pitch Day (30% of final score) and demo (20%), startup team interviews (40%), and final pitches (10%).
