About Good Neighbor Awards
NAR's Good Neighbor Awards recognize REALTORS® who have made an extraordinary impact on their community, or on the national or world stage, through volunteer work. The winnner stories are examples of the incredible impact REALTORS® make through community service. REALTORS® volunteer at nearly three times the rate of the typical American.
Five Good Neighbor Award winners are announced each fall and in REALTOR® Magazine. Winners are recognized during NAR NXT (NAR's annual conference), and they receive $10,000 grants for their charities. Winners also receive travel expenses to the conference and national and local media exposure for their community cause. In addition to the winners, five honorable mentions each receive a $2,500 grant for their cause.
In 2024, the Good Neighbor Awards is celebrating its 25th year, having recognized 240 REALTORS® for their service to their communities. Through Good Neighbor Award grants and associated programs, REALTOR®-led nonprofit organizations have received nearly $1.5 million in donations. In addition to grant funding, each winner receives national and local publicity, which typically generates additional donations and inspires new volunteers to get involved. Many REALTORS® are also recognized for their community service through state and local real estate associations.
The Good Neighbor Award deadline is EXTENDED from April 17 to April 26, 2024.
