Description

Angels for Autism allows us to come alongside local families and help ease the stress and financial burden of the holidays by providing gifts for the child with autism and their immediate family members living in the same household. Families may apply directly or be nominated by a friend, school, or other trusted source. We collaborate with each family to understand their needs and provide meaningful holiday support.

 

All applicants will be notified of their grant status by November 16. Please refrain from contacting the application team to request a status update before that date.

Angels for Autism Rules & Eligibility

Rules:

  • Recipients of any 2026 Grants this year from ASF are not eligible for this year's Angels for Autism grant.
  • If you were a recipient of the Angels for Autism grant in 2025, you are not eligble for this year's grant. If you would like to be placed on a waitlist, please click here and we will contact you.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Residency & Service Area: Must reside and receive services in one of the following counties:
    • North Carolina: Mecklenburg, Union, Gaston, Cabarrus, Iredell, Lincoln, Alexander, Catawba, Cleveland, Rowan, Stanly, Durham, Orange, Wake, Chatham, Franklin
    • South Carolina: York, Lancaster, Chester, Chesterfield
  • Financial Need: Demonstrated by providing most recent tax return (IRS Form 1040).
  • Diagnosis: Must provide child’s diagnosis from a doctor or psychologist.

Required Documentation

Be prepared to upload the following two documents with your application:

  • Most recent IRS Form 1040
  • Copy of medical diagnosis

Media Agreement

If awarded a grant, you must be willing to provide photographs of your child and participate in the 2026 Award Recipients Video Series.
