Description

In today's competitive business environment, you need the advantage of the education delivered through the GRI (Graduate, REALTOR Institute) program. The subject matter is selected to educate practitioners about local, state, and national real estate practices that affect REALTORS and their clients. The GRI program furthers the professionalism of REALTORS and broadens their educational base so they can more effectively communicate and service today's consumer under complex market conditions.

The GRI Scholarship Program is available to Minnesota REALTOR members throughout the state. The GRI Scholarship was created to financially assist GRI Scholarship awardees with tuition reimbursement and other GRI attainment-related costs.

**One scholarship will be designated the Dave Lanpher GRI Scholarship.

Applicant Criteria

New Agent (licensed 2-10 years)

  • Showing professionalism in business and ethical behavior as a REALTOR member and not found in violation of the Code of Ethics
  • Client or peer feedback
  • Involvement with local association and/or community
  • Brokers are eligible

Rules

Scholarship Requirements

  • Twelve scholarships will be awarded

  • Recipients will have up to 3 years to utilize the scholarship to complete the designation

  • If a member has already completed the designation, they are ineligible

  • The applicant will electronically submit the application

  • A travel stipend is available to defray costs for those traveling over 50 miles per trip: reimbursement will be the IRS going rate per mile up to $25 per trip per person, up to $125 for the entire GRI curriculum

This scholarship is valued at approximately $600. No cash will be provided. All courses will be at no cost to the winners.
