2027 Theme: Sleep & the Developing Brain
The theme for 2027 is "Sleep & the Developing Brain". We are inviting infographic submissions that combine text and visuals to illustrate the connection between sleep and the developing brain. Your infographic should highlight how healthy sleep supports brain development during childhood and adolescence and speak to scientific evidence that demonstrates the benefits of sleep for learning, memory, emotional health, and cognitive functioning.
Eligibility Criteria
The SRS Infographic Contest is open to both SRS members and nonmembers. You are eligible to participate if you are:
- An SRS member in any membership category
- An undergraduate student, entering individually or as part of a team
- A high school student, entering individually or as part of a team
Guidelines for artwork used in your infographic submission:
The purpose is to celebrate storytelling and data visualization skills rooted in genuine human insight. The goal is to produce an infographic that blends compelling narrative, striking visuals, and accurate scientific information – crafted primarily by you. Within the application, you must indicate your use of generative AI whether that be idea generation, text generation, or visual graphics. Each applicant must confirm that they are responsible for all facts and statements and indicate what generative AI tools were used, if any, for the submission.
