Thank you for your interest in the BNSF Neeley Leadership Program! 

Please read the eligibility requirements carefully. Only eligible applicants will be considered for the BNSF Neeley Leadership Program (NLP). Questions and concerns should be sent to neeleyleader@tcu.edu.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must complete one full semester at TCU prior to their first semester of membership in NLP. 
  • Students must intend to pursue a major within the Neeley School of Business.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 along with a strong academic and work ethic. (Please note that the average NLP GPA is 3.75 and most successful applicants will have a GPA greater than 3.25)
  • Anticipated graduation date of May 2027, or another date that allows you to commit to the 3-year (6 semester) NLP cohort experience. Exceptionally strong candidates may be considered if they are graduating in December 2026. 


Strong candidates possess...

  • A genuine desire to develop according to the Neeley Leadership Model
  • A desire and ability to grow your leadership skills.
  • The ability to work effectively with others, including peers, faculty, and staff. A willingness to give and receive feedback, and to be coached.
  • Solid written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A commitment to contributing to a positive and enriching cohort experience.

Q: Can I start the application now and finish it later? 

A: Yes! Simply log in to ReviewR using the same credentials you used to create your account

Q: What will I need to submit? 

A: You will be asked to complete two short essays and to upload a resume.

Q: What resume format should I use? 

A: Please upload a PDF version of your resume (must be one of the approved Neeley resume formats). Please rename your resume LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_NLP

Q: Should I include a cover letter with my resume? 

A: No. Our review committee will not evaluate cover letters.

Q: What are the essay questions? 

A: It's not a secret - here they are!
