Welcome to the 2026 CoreNet Global - New England Chapter Awards of Excellence Nominations Submission Portal
Award submissions will open on December 1, 2025, and the deadline to submit will close on Friday, January 30, 2026. Winners will be celebrated at our annual Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Simons Theater at the New England Aquarium, followed by a reception at The Palm.
We will recognize and celebrate both individuals and organizations for outstanding leadership and highlight projects in the Corporate Real Estate industry for their accomplishments made in 2025.
The 2026 Award Categories are:

CORPORATE REAL ESTATE EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR
The CoreNet Global New England Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year Award recognizes the real estate professional(s) whose accomplishments and thought leadership in the corporate real estate industry and charitable/civic realms, as well as their service to the profession, distinguish them from their peers.
AWARD QUALIFICATIONS
- CoreNet Global New England Chapter member in good standing
- CoreNet Global New England Chapter member for at least three continuous years
- Corporate Real Estate End User a minimum of three years
- Must work in New England (State of Connecticut does not qualify as part of our region)
- Demonstrates contributions to their organization’s success and to the Corporate Real Estate industry as an educator or leader
- Demonstrates best practices and initiatives that have resulted in a more efficient process for their company
AWARDS CRITERIA (Max 300 words per topic)
- Provide demonstrations of the nominee’s involvement with CoreNet and Industry Peers (example: Mentoring)
- Describe the nominee’s contributions to elevating the practice of Corporate Real Estate
- Provide a demonstration of the nominee’s innovative strategies and/or projects that changed the conversation with the C-Suite and other business groups from cost management to value creation
- Provide a demonstration of the nominee’s diverse set of skills that helped the Corporate Real Estate function gain status as an equal partner in a collaborative role either with key support functions in the company, e.g., HR and IT and/or business groups within the enterprise
- Describe the nominee’s best practices and implemented initiatives that positively impacted the business

SERVICE PROVIDER OF THE YEAR
The Service Provider of the Year Award recognizes individuals whose performance delivers exceptional value to his/her clients on a consistent basis and whose method of engagement with clients, competitors and vendors is respectful and professional in all regards. This award recognizes individuals who regularly bring innovative service ideas to his/her clients and help drive them through his/her firm. These awards recognize innovative service ideas and actions that transcend the expected. Eligible professionals can provide services in the fields of design, engineering, construction, real estate advisory services, legal services, and project management.
AWARD QUALIFICATIONS
- CoreNet Global New England Chapter member in good standing
- Must work in New England Area (State of Connecticut does not qualify as part of our region)
- Demonstrated contribution to their organization’s success
- Demonstrated commitment to the Real Estate industry
- Applies innovative ideas and approaches to problem-solving
AWARDS CRITERIA (Max 300 words per topic)
- Describe the nominee’s involvement with CoreNet New England
- Describe the nominee’s involvement in Corporate Real Estate, New England Real Estate, Business, and/or the Community and beyond
- Provide a demonstration of a recent success story

YOUNG LEADER OF THE YEAR
The Young Leader of the Year Award is designed to recognize a Young Leader member who contributes in a meaningful way to the corporate real estate industry and to the success of their department, their team, and their company’s real estate organization. This award recognizes a Young Leader who over the course of the year showed dedication and enthusiasm for his/her work, exemplifies excellence and should be considered “one to watch” in the broad field of corporate real estate (CRE). This may be awarded to an end user or service provider.
AWARD QUALIFICATIONS
- CoreNet Global - New England Chapter Young Leader Member in good standing
- 35 years old or younger
- Must work in the New England area
- Actively engaged member over the previous 12 months
AWARDS CRITERIA (Max 300 words per topic)
- Describe the nominee’s involvement in Real Estate industry organization over the previous 12 months
- Provide a demonstration of the nominee’s quantifiable achievements that have contributed to CoreNet Global - New England Chapter over the past 12 months
- Describe how the nominee is actively pursuing professional development
- Describe how the nominee has demonstrated best practices and implemented initiatives that positively impacted the profession (provide two examples)
- Provide a demonstration of the nominee’s quantifiable achievements that have contributed to their employer’s success
- How many years has the nominee been a member of the CoreNet Global - New England Chapter.

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
The Volunteer of the Year Award is designed to recognize a member who volunteers their time and contributes in a meaningful way to the success of the CoreNet Global – New England Chapter.
AWARD QUALIFICATIONS
- CoreNet Global New England Chapter member in good standing
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to furthering CoreNet Global – New England Chapter goals and objectives.
- Promotes CoreNet Global – New England Chapter as an organization.
- Serves as an active member of one or more CoreNet Global – New England Chapter committees.
- Enthusiastically participates in CoreNet Global – New England Chapter events and programs.
- Networks among the CoreNet Global – New England Chapter members.
AWARDS CRITERIA (Max 300 words per topic)
- The nominee’s company must approve this award submission. By approving the submission, any text, quote, images, videos, and logos that are included in the submission may be used by CoreNet Global - New England Chapter for use in publicizing the awards program and events.
- Provide detail of past and current commitments, areas of service, and roles that the applicant has held within CoreNet Global and/or the New England Chapter
- Provide detail of participation in CoreNet Global - New England Chapter committees, events, and programs
- Provide evidence of networking and mentoring with other CoreNet Global - New England Chapter members
- Provide length of membership with CoreNet Global.
- Please include up to three reference letters. Ideally, these letters represent a mix of colleagues, supervisors, clients, etc.

DEAL OF THE YEAR
The Deal of the Year award recognizes an outstanding real estate transaction that had significant impact on the New England region and advanced the practice of corporate real estate. This award celebrates strategic thinking, innovative structuring, and exceptional execution that delivered measurable value to organizations and stakeholders.
AWARD QUALIFICATIONS
- Nominations can be submitted by anyone on the transaction team: Client/End User, Broker, Landlord or Developer, or other transaction team members
- Transactions must have been completed within the 2024 calendar year.
- The Project Team must include a CoreNet New England Member or Sponsor in good standing (Individual or corporate)
- Transaction must be completed by New England based team members and located in the New England Area (State of Connecticut not included).
- Your transaction will be evaluated based on its community and social responsibility, innovation and impact, performance and influence and finally the transaction’s overall excellence in execution.

- Consider innovative approaches or unique features in the deal structure that set it apart from traditional transactions.
- Evaluate the incorporation of innovative technologies in the deal, such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, or other cutting-edge tools.

- Assess the strategic impact of the deal on the businesses involved, the industry, and the broader community.
- Consider how the deal aligns with the long-term goals and vision of the organization.
- Performance & Influence
- Consider how well the deal maximizes value for the parties involved.
- Evaluate the influence of the deal on the local real estate market and its potential to set trends or impact future transactions.
- Consider the deal’s contribution to market growth, revitalization, or innovation.
- Consider the flexibility of the deal structure and its ability to withstand market fluctuations.
- Community & Social Responsibility
- Assess the deal’s impact on the local community, including job creation, community engagement, and social responsibility initiatives.

- Assess the level of collaboration and partnerships involved in the deal.

BEST NEW WORKPLACE AWARDS
Best Workplace is given to a project that demonstrates innovation in design, use of real estate, functionality, and/or technology that has supported the organization's mission and contributed to its successful positioning in its market.
AWARD QUALIFICATIONS
- This submission may be a joint effort by the design consulting firm and/or other key team members who played a significant role in the project such as brokers, project managers, engineers, landlords, etc.
- Projects must be completed by January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025.
- The Project Team must include a CoreNet New England Member or Sponsor in good standing
- Project must be designed/completed by a New England based team and located in the New England Area (State of Connecticut not included).
- Project must be complete (A certificate of occupancy must be received)
- Your project can NOT be nominated in more than one CoreNet Global Chapter Awards program
- Your project can NOT be nominated for dual awards within the same Chapter

- What were some of the considerations and strategies that were implemented to support employee engagement?
- Sustainability: How does the project demonstrate the fulfillment of the organization’s overall strategy for sustainability, health and well-being?
- Design Excellence: How does the project focus on detail, craft and the overall aesthetic experience?
- Community Impact: How has the project supported and codified community, internally, but also, possibly externally? Has the project had an impact on the company culture and/or larger community in a positive way? If so, how?
- Diversity & Inclusion: How was diversity celebrated on the project both within the space and within the larger project team (ie/supplier diversity)?
- Show any evidence of improvements made in the areas of cost reduction, improved productivity, employee engagement, etc.
- Submit five photos of your project that best highlight the realization of goals and vision
- Videos are not required but encouraged for submission. In the event your project is selected for an award you must provide a video that is no longer than 2 minutes in length.
If selected to win, a representative is required to be in attendance at the Awards of Excellence on May 6th at the Simons Theater at the New England Aquarium.
BEST PROJECT OUTSIDE NEW ENGLAND
Best Project Outside New England recognizes excellence in corporate real estate projects completed outside the New England region by members of the New England Chapter. This award celebrates the reach and impact of our chapter members' expertise on a broader geographic scale.
AWARD QUALIFICATIONS
