The Norfolk Public Schools Foundation is excited to offer applications to NPS staff for the purpose of enhancing classroom instruction and enriching the teaching experience. NPS teachers and staff are creative and resourceful; many of you have really great ideas to offer your students. Funding can sometimes be a roadblock to implementation. Allow us to help! If you have a great idea we would love to know about it!
Beyond Classroom Grants, our 2025 Panthers Supporting Panthers Continuing Education Scholarships and our Margaret Robinson Dual Credit Certification Scholarships are also available through this application form.
Please complete the following application. When the application is received by NPSF, it will be sent to your building principal or department administrator for their approval. Upon approval, your application will be carefully considered by a committee of NPSF Board Directors, and all applicants will be notified regarding the status of their application via school email prior to July 1, 2025.
All applicants and administrators are encouraged to screen these applications carefully to ensure they fit within the NPS District guidelines for curriculum and technology.
Thank you for your application!
Application Deadline: Monday, April 28, 2025 at 5:00 PM.
**Please Read These Important Classroom Grant Guidelines**

- When an application is received by NPSF, it will be sent to the applicant's building principal or department administrator for their approval. This is to ensure the proposed application aligns with District guidelines for curriculum and technology. Proposed projects/programs must enhance and not detract from NPS core instructional programs.
- Norfolk Public Schools Foundation grants are awarded through a competitive process. Each grant application is reviewed by a committee and scored.
- All projects/programs are expected to be implemented during the next school year.
- Applications asking to fund furniture for the District will not be considered.
- Applicants may apply for subscription-based requests, but subscriptions will only be funded for one year (no ongoing support).
- NPSF is looking for new and innovative ideas. NPSF will not fund the same grant requests each year.
- NPSF can only fund the budgeted requested amount and is unable to increase the awarded grant amount. Applicants should plan accordingly. The applicant's building will be responsible for any changes.
