The Emory Alumni Association's 40 Under Forty awards program spotlights selected alumni across a variety of vocations for having made a significant impact in business, research, leadership, public service and/or philanthropic endeavors.

Emory graduates are some of the most impactful young leaders who are forging partnerships, and solving problems, in order to create stronger communities both in their professional and personal lives. The Emory Alumni Association's 40 Under Forty awards program spotlights selected alumni across a variety of vocations for having made a significant impact in business, research, leadership, public service and/or philanthropic endeavors. Each year, we cull through hundreds of applications to recognize those outstanding young alumni who represent the very best in achievement and service. Honoree eligibility selection criteria:

  • Be an Emory University alumnus/a
  • Be under the age of 40 August 31st, 2023
  • Be willing to submit a photo, if selected that can be published by the Emory Alumni Association, Emory Magazine, and various school communication vehicles, as appropriate
  • Professional achievement including, but not limited to one of the following:
    • have made an impact in business, research, artistic, leadership, community, educational, and/or philanthropic endeavors
    • demonstrated notable civic involvement, leadership, or recognition
    • been recognized as an intellectual leader or representative of a field or industry
