Since its founding in 2012, the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Alliance (GEA) has represented the voices of entrepreneurs among Georgetown’s alumni community. GEA is proud to confer the Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards annually—celebrating the contributions of alumni entrepreneurs and investors that embody and exemplify the spirit of men and women for others and a passion for innovation.
GEA is currently accepting nominations for the 10th GEA Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards. Self-nominations will be accepted. The awards will be presented at the GEA Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards Ceremony in October 2024 in New York City (more information coming soon).
The categories for this year’s Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards are:
- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Rising Star
- Outstanding Investor
- Best of Retail and Consumer Products
- Best of Hospitality
- Best of Social Impact
- Best of Technology
Nominations will be accepted through Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11:59 pm EST. An awards nominations review committee and the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Alliance Board will make final decisions on the award winners. Nominations submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
Criteria that will be utilized for judging are as follows:
- Evidence of growth and financial success of the company, such as revenue generated, capital raised, market leadership etc.
- Level of innovation
- Demonstration of positive impact of business
- Tie to Georgetown’s mission and Jesuit values
- Service to entrepreneurial community and Georgetown University
