We’re thrilled to announce that submissions are now open for the fourth-annual Good Housekeeping 2025 Kids’ Book Awards — a compilation of the best audiobooks, activity books, board books, box sets, gift sets, concept books, early readers, graphic novels, middle grade (as part of a series), picture books and pop-up books published this year for kids ages 0-12.
For 2025, there will be a $195 submission fee per book to cover the administrative costs of the program. Compared with other Good Housekeeping Award Programs, the fee to enter the Kids’ Book Awards has been substantially reduced. The deadline to enter is May 20, 2025.
The submission form gives you the opportunity to share key information and explain what makes your entry stand out. Our team will review the submissions and match the entries with families for at-home testing. In June, we will ask you to mail a copy of the book to five tester families. If you do not have finished copies at that time, you may wait to mail the book until later in the summer. If you don’t anticipate having finished copies before September 3, please email karencicero@yahoo.com to discuss options.
All winners will be included in a digital feature on goodhousekeeping.com in late September or early October and select winners will be included in a print feature in the December issue. In addition to the digital story, winners will be touted in editorial across the site, including stories like our gift guides for kids of every age, along with stories about Easter basket items, Mother’s Day gifts, baby shower gifts, and so on. There may be opportunities for additional social promotion and other media coverage. Winners will be notified in advance of the launch dates.
Feel free to reach out to Karen Cicero (karencicero@yahoo.com) and Marisa LaScala (marisa.lascala@hearst.com) with any questions.
