The Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) offers academic scholarships ranging from $1,000–$4,000 to support upper-level accounting students pursuing their degree in Illinois. Students complete one application to be considered for all accounting scholarships for which they are eligible.

These scholarships recognize students who demonstrate:

  • Strong academic performance
  • Leadership potential
  • Financial need
  • Commitment to pursuing CPA licensure in Illinois

Applicants must: 

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident
  • Be enrolled in an Illinois college or university
  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 (or equivalent)
  • Plan to sit for the CPA exam in Illinois within three years of application date

ICPAS Herman J. Neal Accounting Scholarships: Black/African American juniors, seniors, or graduate students
ICPAS James A. Sikich Visionary Scholarships: seniors or graduate students
ICPAS Women’s Executive Committee Advancing Women in Accounting Scholarships: female seniors or graduate students
