The Excellence in Ag Award recognizes and rewards outstanding INFB Young Farmers & Ag Professionals members who do not derive the majority of their income from an owned agricultural operation and have not in any of the past three years, but who actively contribute and grow their involvement in Farm Bureau and agriculture.

The Achievement Award is one of three contests designed exclusively for young farmers engaged in agriculture. The Achievement Award recognizes and rewards outstanding young Farm Bureau members whose farm management techniques and commitment to their communities set a positive example for others involved in production agriculture.

The Rising Star Award is designed to honor an outstanding individual or couple, who are members of Indiana Farm Bureau The award recognizes Young Farmers & Ag Professionals who are active in Farm Bureau, their county, their community, are leaders through the Collegiate and/or YF&AP programs, and/or display personal and professional growth by participating in those activities.

All applications must be submitted via the online portal on or before May 1 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Scanned or emailed entries will not be accepted or qualify as a submission.

Basic eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a paid voting member of Indiana Farm Bureau.
  • Between the ages of 18 and 35 as of Jan. 31 of the application year. (Acheivement and Excellence)
  • Between the ages of 18 and 30 as of Jan. 31 of the application year. (Rising Star)
  • An Indiana resident.
