On behalf of the Board and our members, we’re excited you’re considering this opportunity to help shape the future of rural education in Minnesota.
We invite individuals from full-member districts to apply and bring their knowledge, passion, and leadership to the table. By joining the Board, you’ll help build on MREA’s momentum and expand our impact across the state. The deadline to apply is noon on October 26 for Board vacancies beginning January 1, 2027.
MREA members elect 75% of the Board. This application form gives them insight into your background, skills, and values—and this information will be shared with our members during the December election. It also outlines the qualifications and commitments our members look for in Board leaders, helping you assess how your strengths align with this important role. Additionally, your responses will help us create a meaningful and rewarding Board experience for you.
