We are excited to announce that the National Stroke Awards 2025 will take place on Wednesday, 29 October, aligning with World Stroke Day - a powerful reminder of the global impact of stroke and the incredible resilience of those affected.

This special event will be held in Melbourne, bringing together survivors of stroke, carers, health professionals, researchers and advocates to honour the inspiring individuals and communities making a difference in stroke prevention, treatment and recovery.

Nominations open on 16 June 2025 and close on 29 August 2025. Don’t miss your chance to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary efforts of those changing lives across Australia.

We’re so grateful you’re taking the time to recognise someone special. Here are a few things you need to know before you start:

Nominations are for Australians only

We can only accept nominees who live in Australia.

Create an account first

To nominate someone, you’ll need to create an account. This lets you come back later if you need to make any changes.
Your details will stay private and we won’t send you unwanted messages.

You can nominate more than one person

You can submit more than one nomination, but each must be for a different person in a different award category. To do this, click “Add Another Submission” at the top right corner.
If you're nominating someone who has won an award before, please choose a different category, as previous winners can't be awarded in the same category again. You can check past winners here: Past Winners

One person, one category

Please only nominate each person once. A person can’t be nominated in more than one award category.  Each individual can only be nominated for one award.
Finalists and winners may be featured in Stroke Foundation’s media and publicity activities.

Take your time - it’s worth it

The form should take about 15 minutes. You can save and come back later if you need more time.
We welcome nominations from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
