The Proctor Foundation for Art and Science is offering an annual all expenses paid scholarship for 16 community college students and faculty. Applicants must identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or as persons of color (BIPOC). Applicants must be either a full-time student or full-time faculty at an accredited community college in the United States. Recipients will receive the opportunity to attend summer Space Camp. 

The Proctor Foundation for Art and Science was founded by Dr. Sian Proctor who, along with her Inspiration4 crew members, was inducted into the Space Camp Hall of Fame in 2022. Inspiration4 is a proud supporter of Space Camp. 

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be eighteen years or older and enrolled full-time or work full-time at an accredited community college.
  • Applicants must identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or persons of color (BIPOC).
  • Students must be majoring in art or humanities such as, but not limited to: literature, graphic design, music, poetry, creative writing, film or television production, immersive media, journalism, women's studies, or gender studies.
  • Faculty must teach art or humanities such as, but not limited to: literature, graphic design, music, poetry, creative writing, film or television production, immersive media, journalism, women's studies, or gender studies. 
  • Applicants must be available to attend the assigned summer camp weekend.
  • Applicants must live in the United States full-time or part-time and must have legal documentation to reside in the United States.
  • Upon acceptance, students must submit their unofficial community college transcript.
  • Recipients are limited to a $1,000 or less airfare stipend.
