About the Kosciuszko Foundation Summer Studies Abroad Program:

The Kosciuszko Foundation Summer Studies Abroad program provides Polish American students with immersive, short-term academic and cultural experiences in Poland. Each year, the Kosciuszko Foundation Summer Studies Abroad offers competitive scholarships for study at top institutions such as the Jagiellonian University and John Paul II Catholic University. Through the Kosciuszko Foundation Summer Studies Abroad, students strengthen their language skills, connect with Polish heritage, and build lasting international relationships. You may attend the KF Summer Studies Program either by applying for a KF scholarship or by enrolling as a pay-to-go participant.

The Kosciuszko Foundation offers the scholarship opportunities:

TOMASZKIEWICZ-FLORIO SCHOLARSHIPS for Polish American undergraduate students for the Summer Studies Abroad at Jagiellonian University (Krakow) and  John Paul II Catholic University (Lublin) 

WISCONSIN STUDY IN POLAND SCHOLARSHIP for undergraduate and graduate Polish American students from Wisconsin for the Summer Studies Abroad at Jagiellonian University (Krakow)

All participants must be at least 18 years old by the program’s start date to be eligible for enrollment.

ELIGIBILITY: The following categories of applicants are eligible to apply for Tomaszkiewicz-Florio Scholarships:

  • undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors
  • American citizens of Polish descent
  • legal permanent residents of Polish descent (green card holders)
  • minimum GPA of 3.0 or better                                       

ELIGIBILITY: The following categories of applicants are eligible to apply for Wisconsin Study in Poland:

  • high school seniors who are 18 by the first day of the program
  • undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors
  • graduate students
  • American citizens of Polish descent
  • legal permanent residents of Polish descent (green card holders)
  • minimum GPA of 3.0 or better
  • resident Wisconsin students
  • non-resident Wisconsin students who attend Wisconsin colleges and universities.

Applicants will receive an email notification regarding the decision by May 15, 2026

If selected for the Program the scholarship winners will be required to submit:

  • Copy of a Medical Travel Insurance card
  • Data Processing Form – EU requirement
  • Final report within 30 days the KF Summer Program is completed.
