Rules
Project Overview:
Texas Farm Bureau’s Clover Cash grant program was created to support Texas 4-H programs at the county, district, and state levels. These programs should strive to help students understand the importance of advocating for agriculture. Students should also gain an appreciation and better understanding of where their food, fuel, and fiber come from. Qualifying projects will provide hands-on experience for all members involved.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Projects should be based on an agricultural concept. Preference will be given to those projects that are hands-on agricultural learning activities.
- Students must be directly engaged in the educational component.
- A timeline of the project and a list of all community partners must be listed on the application.
- The application must contain a detailed budget with estimated expenses.
- State-level applications will be accepted from 4-H faculty and Extension personnel who lead state programs.
- A state-level program is defined as a coordinated educational, leadership, recognition, or competitive initiative that is developed to serve participants across the entire state of Texas. These programs advance the mission and strategic priorities of Texas 4-H by creating consistent, high-quality opportunities that provide statewide reach, impact, and visibility. A state-level program would generally have broad statewide participation and accessibility.
- District-level applications will be accepted from district 4-H specialists.
- A district-level program is defined as a coordinated educational, leadership, or competitive opportunity that is organized and delivered across multiple counties within one of the state’s geographic 4-H districts. These programs are designed to expand youth experiences beyond the county level while supporting statewide Texas 4-H priorities and positive youth development outcomes.
- County-level applications will be accepted from County Extension agents and 4-H club adult leaders.
- Adult leaders of a county 4-H club must provide a letter of support from their County Extension Agent recognizing them as a valid Texas 4-H club.
