PROGRAM DETAILS

Senior Design is a senior-level capstone where students work in groups to solve real world problems over two semesters. Students present their work at the Senior Design Showcase - which is where you come in! We are seeking alumni and industry professionals to serve as judges for the Fall 2026 Senior Design Showcase. Judges evaluate student projects, provide valuable feedback, and help select outstanding teams for recognition.

WHO CAN JUDGE?

While expertise in a field is appreciated, an engineering background is all that is needed to participate.

WHAT FORMATS ARE AVAILABLE?

We need judges for both the virtual asynchronous round, and the in-person final showcase. You may register for one or the other - or both!

Please complete the volunteer registration form and we will be in touch with further information as the event draws closer. At that time, you will recieve a mandatory training video that will provide all judges with a comprehensive overview of the event, judging expectations, scoring process, and insight into the individual projects each judge will be tasked to evaluate.

Virtual Asynchronous Round:

November 19th through November 22nd
Judge project video submissions online on your own time over the span of four days. Judging must be completed for your assigned projects by 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 22nd and typically takes an hour to complete.

In-Person Showcase:
Thursday, December 3rd | 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. ET
UCF Main Campus
Meet with the top 45 teams from the video judging round and help us identify the top 6 teams! Breakfast and lunch are provided.
• 9:00 a.m. - Welcome Breakfast
• 10:00 a.m. - Finals Showcase
• 3:30 p.m. - Awards Ceremony
