Introducing the Well Together Grant Awards Challenge

For 30 years, the Winter Park Health Foundation (WPHF) has invested $131 Million in the Eatonville, Maitland and Winter Park Communities through health and wellbeing initiatives, facilities, programs, and grants. The WPHF, is committed to providing solutions for our ever-changing community health needs.

THIS YEAR, we celebrate our 30th Anniversary with the
Well Together Grant Awards Challenge, Sparked by the Victory Cup Initiative.


What is it?
The Well Together Grant Awards Challenge is an opportunity for the Winter Park Health Foundation to award $50,000 each, to five local non-profit organizations currently serving or poised to serve the communities of Eatonville, Maitland, and Winter Park. In addition, The WPHF and the Victory Cup Initiative will sponsor storytelling training for the winning organizations. Each finalist will share their story with the community on October 11. 2024.

Scoring and Application Results
Winter Park Health Foundation Volunteers, Leaders, Team Members and Community Champions will participate in scoring the applications and providing quality feedback to the selection committee.

Important 2024 Dates

  • April 15 - May 15: Application Period
  • July 9: Finalists Announced
  • July-September: Finalists will participate in the Victory Cup Storytelling Training
  • October 11: Five finalists will present their organization’s story and ideas to address the community health priorities at a showcase event hosted by WPHF at its Center for Health & Wellbeing. At this culminating event, the Foundation’s remaining $50,000 commitment to the Challenge will be awarded to outstanding finalist organizations and their creative ideas.

Who can apply?
Eligibility requirements include:

  • A 501c3 non-profit organization.
  • Currently serving or poised to serve the communities of Eatonville, Maitland, and Winter Park.
  • Provide creative, impactful, and innovative solutions focused on Youth Mental Health, Diabetes/Pre-Diabetes, and/or Heart Health.
  • Have a REVIEWED nonprofit search profile on the Central Florida Foundation website.
  • Mandatory attendance at Storytelling Training Sessions.

Mandatory Programs
As a grant recipient, you and one additional member of your organization are required to attend the following mandatory meetings.

  1. Welcome Breakfast - Wednesday, July 10, 8:30 am
  2. Storytelling Training Program -   Monday, July 29, 9 am- 4 pm
  3. One-on-one Coaching - A 50-minute training session on either August 27, 28, or 29
  4. Presentation Skills Training - Wednesday, September 18, 9 am-11 am
  5. Showcase - October 11
