Each year, Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich awards college and vocational school scholarships to deserving Club members. To qualify for these scholarships, students must:
• Be active members or part-time staff for at least two years;
• Complete an online application which includes submitting transcripts, personal essays, letters of recommendation;
• Attend a formal in-person interview with the Scholarship Committee; and
• Complete volunteer hours each year.
These scholarships extend beyond traditional college education, providing funding for vocational programs as well. Past recipients have attended a diverse range of colleges and universities, reflecting the Club’s dedication to empowering its members to achieve their dreams.
Requirments for Scholarship Eligibility
All applicants must:
- Be an active BGCG member for at least two years or have been employed by BGCG for at least 2 years
- Must complete registration & membership. The membership cost is $25.
- Provide an acceptance to an accredited institution (a 2-year community college, a four-year college/university, or an accredited vocational school.)
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct
- Complete Volunteer hours
All applicants must submit:
- A 4-Year high school transcript. (If currently in college, must provide your most recent transcript.)
- First-Time applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from a current teacher, coach or advisor addressing your qualifications for this scholarship. Letters will be uploaded to this portal by your professor.
- First-Time applicants are required to submit two personal essays. (200-word minimum, grammar, spelling, effort, and content are all discussed among Scholarship Committee members in determining award eligibility.)
- Returning applicants are only required to submit one letter of recommendation.

- A current photo.
- An official Financial Aid Award Letter from your selected college/university.
- Register to become an Alumni of the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich. Alumni registration can be found on our website www.BGCG.org
- A background check will be required to volunteer at the BGCG, a form will be sent to the email address submitted with your application.
Volunteer and Service requirments
- All scholarship recipients must complete a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service at BGCG during their grant period and before reapplying for additional funds.
- These activities may include volunteering in the Club’s after-school program, athletic leagues, special events or summer camps.
- If hours are not completed in the 2026 - 2027 granted year, the applicant will be deemed ineligible for funds in subsequent year.

Important Things and Dates to Remember
- Applicant's are not guaranteed a scholarship award.
- First time applications are due by March 11, 2026
- Renwal applications are due April 11, 2026
- All applicants must have a current membership and must register for the scholarship program through the Daxko membership portal.
- First time applicants will be interviewed on April 13 & 14, 2026 at the BGCG from 4-7pm
- Renwal applicants will be interviewed on May 27 & 28, 2026 at the BGCGs from 4-7pm
- As part of the interview, applicants will be asked to discuss their membership or work experience at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich.
