Grant Program Overview
Our individual grants are used to provide access to resources that improve a person’s daily life. From life-changing home and vehicle adaptations to registration for a specialized summer camp, grant funds can be used for a variety of needs, such as:
  • Assistive technology and adaptive equipment
  • Home modifications, such as items for sensory rooms
  • Specialized therapy services (aquatic, equine, art, etc.) 
  • Summer camps
Grant Eligibility
Applicant must be an Ohio resident.
Applicants shall be eligible to receive a grant of up to *$7,500 (lifetime cap)  if they document:
They are receiving SSI and have a working relationship with their local DD Board.
OR
Are up to 21 years of age and have complex needs requiring a higher level of care in a public school or classroom identified in an IEP for children requiring exceptional services.
OR
Are aged 1-3 and currently receiving services through Ohio’s Early Intervention (EI) program.
 
*Summer Camp grants are capped at $1,500 per year. Applicant must be an Ohio resident.
