The Fantastic First Five Pages contest is presented by the League of Utah Writers.

What better way to celebrate participating in NaNoWriMo than to share your hard work? The purpose of this contest is twofold: 1) to give authors the chance to get valuable feedback so they can make the first five pages of their story as good as possible and 2) to give authors the chance to judge others’ work. When you learn to pick a story apart, you find what makes it work and what doesn’t. These learned skills can then be applied to your own writing, making it better than ever.

If you are submitting, you are expected to judge at least three other entries. If you do not meet the judging deadlines, your submission will be rejected and you will not be offered a refund. You can also elect to be a judge without submitting.

This contest is open to any paid member of the League of Utah Writers
