Every success story begins with a SPARK – a moment of inspiration, a bold idea, a meaningful conversation. In its second year, the Teacher Innovation Fund continued to ignite the SPARK of creativity and possibility in GRPS classrooms. During the 2024-2025 school year, we proudly funded 50 teachers, investing $24,912 in classroom innovation across the district.

These mini-grants empower educators to dream bigger-- bringing fresh ideas, hands-on projects, and engaging tools to life. From engineering projects to high school musicals, these grants help teachers go beyond the basics and spark new energy in their curricula. By providing resources not covered by district budgets, the Teacher Innovation Fund helps create equitable, exciting, and personalized learning environments where GRPS scholars thrive. We want to help you bring curriculum to life!

The Foundation will accept mini-grant applications from classroom teachers only at this time. Grants will be awarded up to $500 to enhance curriculum or scholar experiences that make a positive impact on our students’ education. Our Fall grant applications will be accepted until October 15, 2025. Awards will be made in November 2025 and March 2026.

  • Do you want to get parents in to teach what they know but you can’t get enough material so everyone can join in?
  • Do you or a scholar group you chaperone want to start or fund an afterschool club or enrichment experience?

The Foundation will accept mini-grant applications from classroom teachers only at this time. Grants will be awarded up to $500 to enhance curriculum or scholar experiences that make a positive impact on our students’ education. Our grant applications will be awarded two per year. Awards will be made in November 2025 and March 2026. Applications will be submitted on-line through our website www.grpsf.org.

All projects must be approved by the principal before submitting application.  Applications will be reviewed by the GRPS Foundation Board of Directors and grant committee.

The Foundation reserves the right to change this process. Grants are a one-time award per school year and must be used in the same academic year.

The Foundation grants are funded by community donations. To help us spread the word about how grants enhance education in our community, successful grant applicants will be asked to provide an impact report including photographs, recipient narrative regarding the outcomes, quotes from impacted students, etc. These photographs and impact stories will be utilized by the Foundation in our various media releases.
