Minnesota Rural Education Association (MREA) is on the lookout for inspiring educators and innovative school programs in Greater Minnesota for its Educator of Excellence and Innovation Program Awards! Nominations are due by February 23, so don’t miss out!
🌟 Educator of Excellence Award
This award celebrates educators who make a positive impact on students and their achievements, showcasing leadership, innovation, and collaboration. MREA will honor one outstanding educator from each membership zone, with one special honoree in the running for the national rural teacher award!
Educator of Excellence nominees must:
- Have 7 or more years of teaching experience.
- Be employed under the terms of a master teacher contract.

🌟 Innovation Program Award
These awards spotlight school programs that are trailblazing new paths in education for rural students.
Innovation Program nominees must:
- Be programs running 3 or more years in your district.

Nominations can be submitted by District Leadership, School Board members, colleagues, students, parents, or community members. Teacher nominees will need to complete an application to move forward in the selection process. Let’s celebrate the amazing work happening in our schools! 🎉
