Description
Thank you for considering applying for the Lee Family Legacy Newcomer Grant through the San Francisco Education Fund! This grant supports schools in building their capacity to serve newcomer students — those who are new to the country and navigating language, culture, and school systems simultaneously. Funded work may focus on staff capacity, school culture, student resources, family engagement, or peer community. Awards of up to $15,000 are available to SFUSD Priority elementary, middle, and high schools. If you are unsure if your school is an eligible priority school, please click this link to learn more.
All grant recipients will participate in a shared learning cohort — a facilitated gathering with other award-winning schools to exchange what's working, what isn't, and what the field is learning together. This is a condition of the award. We ask that applicants come with openness to learning alongside peers, not just executing independently.
- Deadline to apply: 9/11/26
- Award notifications: 9/23/26
