PCMA 20 in Their Twenties: Class of 2027 Application

The PCMA 20 in Their Twenties program annually recognizes 20 emerging leaders who are shaping the future of the business events industry with fresh ideas and innovative thinking. This global initiative celebrates young professionals who demonstrate leadership, creativity, and a commitment to advancing the industry.

Rules

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be 29 years old or younger at the time the award is recognized at Convening Leaders, in January 2027
  • Employed full-time in the meetings, conventions, and business events industry as an event organizer or supplier.
  • A minimum of one year of professional experience in the industry.
  • PCMA membership is not required
  • Your application must demonstrate at least three of the seven leadership attributes listed on the program page
  • If selected, you agree to serve on a PCMA Foundation volunteer committee.

Application Requirements:

  • Completed application form (contact details, LinkedIn URL, and PCMA membership status).
  • Three written responses: ultimate career goal (250 words); proudest professional accomplishment (250 words); and a letter to your future self one year out (500 words).
  • A current professional headshot or selfie (JPG, JPEG, or PNG).
  • A short video (2 minutes maximum) on your leadership strengths, what makes you unique, and why you want to join.
  • Two professional reference letters, at least one from an active PCMA member.
